Draft Itinerary
Please note that this itinerary is subject to change according to prevailing wind and sea conditions, the decision of the skipper and rules which may at any time be imposed by the Seychelles authorities.
You will need to fly overnight from Europe in order to arrive on Day 1.
Day 1 (B) Arrive Seychelles where you will be met upon arrival and taken to your boutique hotel on the very long Beau Vallon Beach. Day at leisure to enjoy Mahe.
Day 2 (B) A chance to relax on Mahe Island; or if you like, we can prearrange scuba diving or guided trekking in the mountains.
Day 3 (B,L,D) At 11.30 you will be collected from your hotel and taken to Victoria where you will board your yacht. Sail to Saint Anne Marine Park moor for the afternoon and overnight.
Day 4 (B,L,D) Sail around the northern tip of Mahe Beau Vallon Bay and Anse Major. Here we will moor off of the dramatic coast of the Morne Seychellois National Park. There is some good snorkelling here with some excellent fish life. Don’t be surprised to see a green or hawksbill turtle underwater, or schools of fish skimming the surface of the sea. Anchorage in Port Launay or Anse Du Riz.
Day 5 (B,L,D) After breakfast, set sail for Silhouette Island. Lunch onboard and then land on Silhouette with time to visit the Giant Tortoise rehabilitation project run by the Nature Protection Trust of Seychelles and trek into the steep forested hills. Explore the northern coast of Silhouette before sailing overnight to Bird Island.
Day 6 (B,L,D) In contrast to the steep granite islands you will so far have visited, Bird Island is a coral island barely rising above sea level. You will have the chance here to visit the large colonies of birds here and walk the entire circumference of the island if you wish, You can also see the tortoise Esmeralda and make use of the onboard kayaks or going snorkelling around the yacht or on the eastern edge of Bird Island. In the afternoon you will set sail to Praslin or Curieuse and anchor in the dark.
Day 7 (B,L,D) Anchor off the island of Curieuse within the Marine National Park. If you wish to land you can join a guided natural history visit on the island and more than one hundred giant tortoises that live here. After lunch, sail to Saint Pierre islet. This is a mass of rounded rocks crowned with a clump of tall palms swaying gently in the wind – a typical scene of the Seychelles which has appeared on countless occasions in magazines around the globe. This is an excellent spot for snorkelling with magnificent underwater scenery. Moor overnight at Curieuse or Anse Volbert, Praslin. Day 8 (B,L,D) Visit the Vallée de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site on Praslin. Moor in Saint Anne Bay, Praslin.
Day 9 (B,L,D) From Praslin sail around Marianne, Félicité and Cocos Islands. Cocos island is made of large rocks with strange regular stripes carved by the sea. Cocos island forms a beautiful sight with a great harmony of shapes and colours. Under the sea, the vision is equally attractive with thousands of fishes. Excellent snorkelling. Moor off Felicité.
Day 10 (B,L,D) Sail to La Digue – an island which many consider their favourite in the Seychelles. There are no cars on this island, but it is small enough to explore by walking, renting a bike or an ox drawn cart taxi. Your skipper and crew will brief you on how to arrange what you want to do. La Digue is haven for the last remaining 120 Seychelles Black Paradise flycatchers protected within a 15 hectare forest reserve. Moor in La Digue harbour.
Day 11 (B,L,D) Sail to Grande Soeur which is made of two steep and rocky hillocks, linked together by a small coconut plantation. Barbecue on the beach. Visit the island, snorkel or make use of the sea kayaks. Anchorage in Anse Lazio (Praslin) or Curieuse.
Day 12 (B,L,D) Sail to the Cousin Island. This has been a nature reserve and bird sanctuary since 1968 with several rare bird species and some giant tortoises. Sail to Mahé in the afternoon. Moor in Victoria.
Day 13 (B) Disembark between 6 am and 9 am. You can either take a taxi to the airport, pay a visit the town of Victoria, or we can prearrange activities for you, or extend your trip. Dep Mahe.
