Cayman Islands Three Island Dive Liveaboard
8 days from US$2,795 less $100

The three islands of the Cayman Islands sit perched on the edge of a deep water abyss known as the Cayman Trench. This underwater 'cliff' drops away to more than 7,500m at the meeting point of the Caribbean and North American tectonic plates. Three small coral islands, Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac each offer a relaxed, friendly Caribbean atmosphere, beautiful beaches, unique wildlife and some of Caribbean's most spectacular diving opportunities. The Cayman Islands also offers the opportunity to experience the Caribbean without giving up any creature comforts.

Aqua-Firma offers the opportunity to experience all three islands from some lovely land bases and by dive liveaboard. Liveaboard probably provides the best opportunity to reach the best dive sites on all three islands. Dive sites and marine life on all islands benefit from a strong commitment to conservation and some truly remarkable underwater topography. Marine life benefits from deep water currents which bring nutrient rich waters from the Cayman Trench to the surface. Underwater features include some remarkable coral walls with vertigo inducing drop offs such as Little Cayman's famous Bloody Bay Wall. You can also find swim throughs, great wrecks and some excellent visibility. Great snorkelling is also possible at many shallower sites, including the renowned 'Stingray City'.

In addition to diving, the islands offer plenty by way of above water attractions. In addition to relaxing on beautiful Caribbean beaches, sea kayaking in protected mangrove forests, a nursery for juvenile reef fish, is a great way to explore the more remote sections of the islands. Horse riding, biking and sailing are other great ways to explore.

The islands' terrestrial wildlife includes the unique Cayman Iguana and Cayman Parrot. Bird watching on the islands can be very rewarding with many seabirds such as frigate birds and boobies nesting on the islands in large numbers. Cayman Brac, the most three dimensional off the islands, has impressive cliffs and cave systems which are also possible to explore.

Whilst the Cayman Islands are most often thought of as a banking tax haven, they are also a Caribbean marine life gem.
