Arenal Volcano and the Cloud Forests of Monteverde

Arenal volcano is famous for its lava flows which are best observed on a clear night. There are also some excellent rainforests and walkways in the vicinity where we take you for guided exploration.  Monteverde is best known for opportunities to see Costa Rica’s national bird: the Resplendant Quetzal.  This is a cloud forest area where we take you in search of these and many other birds, and to explore the canopy from a raised walkway and by means of a series of flying fox style zip lines.

We arrange 4 days trips which combine all of this, either self-drive whereby we equip you with a 4 Wheel Drive, map and an itinerary of guided treks and lodge accommodation; or we arrange shared transfers and let someone else do the driving.

Sample itinerary
