This Yacht & Lodge Safari is designed to provide a comprehensive two week exploration of the Seychelles, with half your time spent sailing and the other half spent exploring and relaxing on Mahe, Praslin and Bird Island.

Eight days of sailing allows plenty of time to explore some of the very best of Seychelles’ inner islands.  Praslin and La Digue and their nearby satellite islands of Cousine, Aride, St. Pierre, Marianne and more, offer some simply stunning island cruising.  These lush islands are blessed with golden sand bays framed by dramatic granite boulders interspersed with coconut palms and lush vegetation.

For those who like to put in some distance offshore sailing, then Seychelles largest island of Mahe is within easy reach.  This island offers a more dramatic coastline of mountains and coastal rainforest.  Mahe is also an ideal location either to relax at the start of your yacht and lodge safari, or hire a car, dive, snorkel or go trekking to explore its coastlines and forest covered mountains.

Praslin is the Seychelles second largest island and the next location where we propose a land based stay.  This island is the site of one of the natural highlights of the Seychelles: the Vallée de Mai UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Here you will enjoy a privately guided exploration of this unique palm forest which is the native home of the world’s largest nut: the Coco de Mer.

There are some excellent hotels on Praslin and the location we often recommend sits on narrow strip of coastline with a secluded bay before it and the island’s second forest treasure.  A steep forest trail will take you through rare vegetation including more Coco de Mer trees and other native palms; and to a hill top where granite boulders provide superb viewpoints amongst the vegetation.  This is an ideal place to see the critically endangered Seychelles Black Parrot as well as many of the inner islands including La Digue and Cousin.  The crystal clear ocean air of the Seychelles also provides uncannily clear views of Mahe in the distance.

Following your yacht charter we take you back to Mahe and then fly you to the Seychelles northernmost island of Bird Island.  As the name suggests, the birdlife here is a spectacle behold with the ground and skies often filled with literally millions of seabirds.  The beaches here are also breathtaking with a wonderful sense of their setting in a huge Indian Ocean wilderness.

Cancellations by client If you cancel one of our Yacht & Lodge Safaris then the following cancellation terms apply: If you cancel your booking more than 10 weeks prior to departure then the deposit will be forfeited.  If you cancel your booking after you have paid in full then the following cancellation charges will apply: between 60 and 69 days prior to departure:  50% of the holiday cost 31 to 59 days prior to departure: 85% of the holiday cost 0 to 30 days prior to departure : 100% of the holiday cost
