Tanzania - Sample Itinerary for Pemba & Zanzibar Spice Island Dive & Rainforest Safari
     

Day 1

Arrive Zanzibar where you will be met and transferred directly to your premium dive lodge on the east coast of Zanzibar.  You will have a chance to settle in and relax on stunning stretch of uninterrupted white sand beach looking out onto the Indian Ocean and reefs you will be diving.  Your accommodation is full of award winning Zanzibari style.

Days 2 - 4

3 full days of diving along Zanzibar’s south eastern coast.

Day 5

Day to relax and decompress.

Day 6

Early morning you will be collected from your hotel and taken by your driver and guide to explore the Jozani Forest Nature Reserve.

At the end of the safari you will be taken to the airport in time for your flight to Pemba. You can enjoy some stunning views of Zanzibar’s reefs en route. The views of southern Pemba are also particularly splendid with its many sea channels in amongst verdant fields of fruit trees and spices.

Upon arrival in Pemba you will be met and driven 1 ½ hours across the island to your hotel.

Depnding upon your flight arrival time, you will have the opportunity to dive in the afternoon and conduct a night dive if you wish.

Day 7 – 9

3 full days of diving.

Day 10

Early morning we will take you to the Ngezi Biosphere Forest Reserve for a guided natural history walk. This will include its scenic ponds which provide excellent bird watching viewpoints.

Depending upon you flight time tomorrow, the opportunity will be there to dive today.

Day 11
(B)
After breakfast we will drive you back to Chake Chake airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival you will be taken to your beachside hotel in the heart of Stone Town’s ancient winding streets.

Day 12

You will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight out.
