Aqua-Firma’s New Online Guide to the Galapagos

October 11, 2011 -

There was once a time when the only option for a trip to the Galapagos entailed 8 days on a boat; or as we like to define it, a 'Wildlife Yacht Safari'. Nowadays, you have far more choice than this. Whilst being on a Wildlife Yacht Safari is ideal for most people, we also operate combined  Yacht & Lodge Safaris (time on land and on water); combined trekking, sea kayaking and wildlife adventure journeys, whereby accommodation is entirely on land; and some exclusively dive focused liveaboard and land based diving trips. We can operate an almost infinite number of tailored combinations enabling you to make the absolute most out of what will probably be a once in a lifetime visit.

A great starting point for deciding upon an itinerary is our new online Galapagos Island Guide. This has been designed to help you understand each island's key features and discover the best ways in which to explore it. The Galapagos archipelago consists of 13 volcanic islands and further smaller islets besides. Whether you are a wildlife enthusiast, wilderness adventurer, bird watcher, a keen snorkeler, scuba diver, or someone with the Galapagos on their radar to visit one day; the Guide will help you to pinpoint the ideal locations to visit and what you can expect to find there. Each island guide includes an introduction and further links to explore in more detail its Wildlife, Marine Life, Conservation & Geology.

Whilst the Island Guide is a useful reference, you can jump a step by simply calling Aqua-Firma and talking to one of our Galapagos experts on 0844 412 0848 (local rates) or 01428 620012 to discuss your interests and let us come up with a proposed itinerary to suit you. We can also offer advice on how you can combine the Galapagos with a trip to the Amazon, Andes, Peru's Machu Picchu, Central America and even as far south as Antarctica!
